links show in blog, but disappear when viewed in archive

    Is there any reason a link a hyperlink would be disabled in a post? I posted in one of my categories on my site and I tried inserted a link and the site just ignores the code when I view the post after click on the corresponding category in belongs to it. If I post a blog and it shows on the main page (as the most recent blog), the link is active. When viewing it through the archive, the text is still there, but the link is not active. Is there a setting for this? my site is https://www.lighthousealliance.org

    Just at thought, are you using the default WordPress archive widget, or are you using a plugin to display your archive. I’m running into a specious issue that sounds related, but it’s effecting my media library, not my archive links.

    Yes, I am using the default WP archive widget. Can you try to post a link in a blog and view it in your archive and report back? Thanks!

    Your theme is using the_excerpt in the archive.php file, while you have the_content in the index.php file.
    Read about the difference: Template_Tags#Post_tags
    especially, the Description of the excerpt

    ok, sorry.. I take back what I said. I had found the_excerpt yesterday and thought that might be it, but I just realized my issue is something else. The links appear in the posts, but they no NOT appear in the previews. is there a way to enable links in post previews?

    It is not “preview” – there is no such thing in WP. It is the excerpt…
    Eventually, search the Extend > Plugins section for excerpt related plugins to have an option to display html tags.

    I have links in my posts in Edit but when published they are gone. I tried to follow this thread but can’t figure it out. Can someone please tell me how to make the HTML links show in my posts?

    If I switch from the SilverRay theme to another theme the links re-appear. Any suggestions?

    Links display in IE but not Mozilla.
