Links that go to search results

  • Hi,
    I have a list of items that people who sign up for my database are able to select by clicking a checkbox. This indicates the skills they have.

    I’d like to make a list of skills and then when I click on one of them, it takes me to the search results with everyone who has checked that skill in their signup form listed.

    I’m not sure how to accomplish this. Can you help?

    Example:

    web developer
    photographer
    graphic designer

    When I click on web developer, I want to show a list of everyone who is a web developer..

    I would also like to know how to choose what comes up in the search drop down when I use a shortcode like this:

    [pdb_search target_page="talent-list"]

    digitalmediamarketplace.com

    currently there is a list of items that don’t include choices I would like to have. Not sure what this list is being generated from.
    If I’m not able to create links to search results, maybe if I could have a list of categories in the dropdown, that would work.

    Normally, the search field select dropdown shows the same fields as you have configured to show in the list. You can determine which fields are shown in the search field select dropdown by using the “search_fields” attribute in the shortcode…for instance:

    [pdb_list search=true search_fields="city,state"]
