Links that “Open in a new tab” output aria-label “undefined”
-
In Gutenberg paragraph blocks (and lists) if I add a link and set it to “open in a new tab” the code outputs the link with aria-label=”undefined (opens in a new tab)”. Not great for accessibility.
See the link Bullet Creative on this page: https://www.surreyhillsarts.org/contact/
Bullet Creative. This seems to have just started happening for new edits across a few of my sites. All running the latest versions of WP and Yoast: WP (v5.4.2) and Yoast (v14.5). If I disable Yoast all is fine.
It’s only happening on Pages for me, not on Posts or custom post types. Have searched but think it’s a new issue, I can’t see any tips. Yoast seems to be overriding the Link panel options, as it’s also adding “Search engines should ignore this link…” and “This is a sponsored link or advert…”. Ideally I don’t want Yoast adding options to the WP link panel, I’d rather stick with the default. But can’t see any way of turning this off.
Any ideas appreciated. Thx
