• I’m trying to show a prospective client a wedding I posted on 9/6/12, and the link is not working. I went in to check, and none of the links to prior/older posts is working. One or two photos show up, but mostly there are blanks or question marks where the photos should be. The photos are in my media library and show up when I go in to view the actual post on my dashboard, but anyone trying to access these older posts are getting these blank pages.

Can anyone help me with this?

Have you tried increasing memory available for php.

Thank you so much for responding. The answer is no, I haven’t tried that because I have no idea what that means:) Is there a fix or instructions for those of us who aren’t experienced with writing code?

Try reading the post at the link above.

I read it and still don’t see exactly where to find this in my admin area. I’m in ADMIN — EDITOR but I don’t see anything about increasing memory.

The post doesn’t say anything about about looking in your WP admin area.

I’m sorry, I’m a novice when it comes to editing at this root level. I’m used to my blog working perfectly, and now I’ve run into this major problem and can’t seem to fix it. I’m a wedding photographer, and I have potential clients daily searching my blog for prior weddings shot at their venues. I’m receiving emails from them stating that they are unable to see posts from prior months/years. There are blanks where the photos should be. I’ll try anything, I just need some detailed instruction!

esmi – I only looked there in an attempt to find the exact place where I can increase my available php memory. It was a guess.

In addition to the WP Codex article I linked in my previous reply, There are also, numereous threads that deal with this topic. For example: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fatal-error-allowed-memory-size-6

Just found it… My memory limit is set to 256M, which I think is the highest?

I’ve also tried disabling my plugins, and that didn’t work. It looks like I am at the max for php memory (256M). Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! –Cindy

    – To rule out any theme-specific issue, try switching to the unedited default theme for a moment using the WP dashboard. If you don’t have access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.

Tara, thank you!!! I just switched to the 2011 WordPress theme and I can now see the older posts! I have a ProPhoto theme. I’m guessing the problem is with them?

    Yes.

Since “ProPhoto” is a NON-WP.org theme, my suggestion is to contact the theme’s developer for support.
