Links to Recent Posts & Archives not working

Hi Bowerdude. Just a quick suggestion before we dig deeper into this, have you tried re-saving your permalinks yet?

I actually changed my permalinks to another configuration and then saved. This basically crippled my blog so I went back and changed it back to default, saved, and I was back to square one. Would that constitute “re-saving”? Thanks

I traced some of the links and the problem is this:
The hyperlink goes like this: https://www.mysite.com/?m=181
It should go like this: https://www.mysite.com/blog/?m=181

It works then. Seems less complicated now but if anyone has an easy fix, please let me know. TIA

If the links are going to https://www.mysite.com/?m=181 then it sounds like wordpress thinks your site lives at https://www.mysite.com/ and not https://www.mysite.com/blog

What I suggest is that you update your wp-config file to specify that https://www.mysite.com/blog is the url.

Editing wp-config.php

define('WP_HOME','https://www.mysite.com/blog');
define('WP_SITEURL','https://www.mysite.com/blog');

Upon reading that support document, I went back to the Admin settings and noticed that Site Address (URL) did not have the /blog attached to it so I changed that everything seems to work now. Didn’t have to edit the wp-config file but I’ll tuck that bit of info away for later! Thanks a million Brad.
