You want to create a custom menu, with custom menu links.
- Go to Appearance → Menus.
- On the left should be a section called Custom Links. If you do not see such a section, click the Screen Options tab in the upper right corner of the screen and check toe box labeled Custom Links. That section will now appear on the left.
- Expand the Custom Links section if it isn’t expanded already.
- Now you are going to create a menu item with a custom link.
For URL, enter in the address of your home page followed by the link. For example:
https://mywedding.com/#about-us
For the Link text enter in the appropriate text for the menu item, like About.
- Click the Add to Menu button, and your new menu item will appear in the right section labeled Menu Structure.
- Continue adding more custom menu items. As you add them to the Menu Structure, you can drag & drop them in whatever order you prefer.
- Once you’ve added all your menu items (you can add more later if you want), click the Save Menu button.
- The final step (if you haven’t previously done so) is to set the “location” of the menu you just created. Click the Manage Locations tab on the same page, and assign the menu that you just created to the Main Navigation location. Click the Save Changes button.
So now you should have some menu items which will scroll the page down to the appropriate section. If you are having trouble, please post a link to your site.
