License’s are only associated with paid versions of the plugin. If you wish to determine whether or not the plugin will actually work on a particular site then the best way to accomplish that is to download and install the Free version from within this WordPress site using the direct link here. The only thing missing are some of the features offered in the Pro version.
The basic underlying framework is the same for the Free vs. the Pro so for the purposes of testing functionality of the plugin on the site the Free version will be able to meet your needs. Should you decide to later install the Pro you do not have to reconfigure any of the Free version’s plugin settings if you activate this setting… “Preserve settings when plugin is removed” which is located by going to your WordPress Dashboard – Facebook Feed – Customize – Misc (tabbed page) and scroll to bottom section on the page. Make sure you click on “Save Changes” after having placed a check mark in the “Yes” box.
If you need to see a working Pro version on a different site then the easiest method is simply install your current Pro version on the site you wish to test it on. Then temporarily switch the license key registration over to the test site by first going to the site install where the license currently activated and click on “Deactivate License”.
Next go to your test site and within the plugin settings enter the license key that you just deactivated on the first site. Click on “Activate License” on the test site URL installation. Test the plugin.
Assigning the license temporarily to another site allows you to test the for all functionality of a Pro version of the plugin on that site including whether or not the activation process will work with that site URL as well.
When done, just reverse the process. In the meantime, I hope your week is starting off great.
