    Hello,
I’m trying to list all my events in a grid layout using WP Bakery Post Grid, but this lists only the upcoming events. The past events are not shown.
I already tried to change “default event list content” and “event archives scope” to “all events” in settings.
    Thank you.

Not sure, I just went into mine and changed the setting to the one listed below and it now shows every event – past, present & future. I am just listing my events in a simple table layout created by editing the Default event list format on the formatting section of events page.

Settings -> Pages Tab -> Event list / Archives -> Default event list options -> Event list scope. Change to: All Events

    Thank you for your answer.

I know about that, i’m using it in a different section on my website. But the problem is when using it with the Post Grid element from WPBakery (Visual Composer), where we can’t choose the list that we need or the way its elements are sorted.

I think this may be something you’d need to ask WP Bakery about, they may have come across this problem before.

I know and i did, but it should be dealt with from the plugin side, because the post grid is calling the default get_posts() method

sorry but we are quite limited with regards to other plugins or theme and maybe this will be a quick fix to wp bakery devs.

    Hi,

    Hope you are fine.

I take the opportunity to write here because I also try to use the Wp Backery post Grid to present my events.

Unfortunately, I don’t how to display the starting date and the location.
Maybe with the events manager meta key ? Any inputs @djallel ?

    Thanks for your help,
    Have a lovely day.

    Hello @gaultierfrng,

Yes you guessed right, to display the event starting date and the location, you need to use the meta_key. Here’s how to do that :
1- Create a custom grid element with the grid builder of WP Bakery for your event posts
    2- Insert a custom field
3- The field key name for the event start date is : _event_start_date and for the location should be : _location_name

    Good luck.

    Hey @djallel

    Thanks for your help.
    Your answer is really helpful.

    I tried the meta keys:
The one for the start date event is working but the date is displayed on a yyyy/mm/dd format. Which is quite weird because all my date formats in my WordPress are display on a dd/mm/yyy (even in the events manager settings)

Unfortunately the key meta for the location dosen’t work. I try to find a document that could help me in the knowledge base of the plug in but I don’t find anything for the moment.

Thanks for your reactivity and your help.
    Cheers,

    Hi again,

    Happy to hear that,
Please keep me posted of your researches maybe i will need it someday.

    Thank you.

    Hi @djallel!

How did you pull that off? My problem with listing the events in the WPBakery grid is just the opposite: I cant get rid of past events when I only want to list upcoming events – it shows every single event (past and upcoming) even though I’ve tried editing the options.
