List block misaligned left only during editing

When editing, only since the recent update to WP 5.5, list blocks appear justified to the far left of the display screen, rather in line with all other blocks (headings, parapgrah). The list block appears correctly when published, just not when editing. Pages or posts created before the update to 5.5 now have any list blocks show up misaligned when editing/updating, even though they appeared correctly when editing when they were created; and any new pages or posts have list blocks appear incorrectly when editing.
