List checked out items

  • Just trying to do some work on the circulation desk and clicking on “List checked out items” is producing this error message “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    Everything else seemw to be running fine.

    Currently running 3.5.6 of WL on 5.5.1 WP.

    I am currently trying to locate the above email to see what it says.

  • Hi, looks similar to my error.

    I’m seeing this:

    Error Details
    =============
    An error of type E_USER_ERROR was caused in line 779 of the file
    /xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/weblibrarian/includes/database_code.php.
    Error message: Not a valid barcode: 00002998

    Odd as this barcode doesn’t exist in the database. Are you seeing similar?

    Hi Matt,
    I think we are talking about the same issue here. 00002998 should (was) in the database. The number before it and after it are both valid entries and AFAIK no numbers were missed.

    The Barcode is EAN8 so that is 0000299 with a CRC digit of 8. 0000298 and 0000300 exist.

    This suggests database corruption of some sort.

    Well, my test site is working just fine. WP 5.5.1, WL 3.5.6, PHP 7.3.21, DB 5.5.65-MariaDB, Server: CentOS 7

    Thanks both. I had 00002981 in the database but not 00002998.

    Deleting that seems to have fixed the issue so some sort of database corruption seems the likely cause.
