List Custom Posts that match page title.

I’m not very adept to php yet so forgive me if this is a simple fix.

I’m trying to make a page template that will display custom posts who’s category match the page title or maybe an editable value of the page so that my client can match certain custom posts to the author without programming anything.

For Example: if Jon uses the “Artist Page Template” for his page and then applies the custom post category “Jon” to all of his work then it will show up on his page but not anything else.

I found some code on my theme that lists portfolio posts(custom posts) with the same categories. Here’s what I’m working with:
