  • I have exactly the same problem. No matter what options I chose in short code, the description does not show up in the menu item.

    Hi,
    There is Category Layout depicted at the screenshot. You can switch it to List one within Restaurant Menu>Settings>General>Category Layout

    Since the version 2.2.0 you have two options:
    1. Create a page, click the menu icon to place a shortcode, choose ‘display menu items’, choose ‘simple list’
    2. Navigate to plugin settings > Display, choose ‘display categories and tags’ as ‘Simple list’.
