I’m trying to figure out how to customize my player profile pages, to display the details and stats different on the page.

Istephen: I love how you displayed the players image, with name, position and details in the main banner of the player profile and the stats below it with a different tab for his bio, stats and photos. I’m trying to change the order of on how they are displayed.

I cant seem to find any info in the support forum on how to do do custom templates. There is some info on the sportspress website in the developer section on copying the page.php file and renaming it, but not sure how to call the details or stats on those pages.

I did try to make changes to the player_details.php page, however, when I updated the sportpress to the latest version, the file was overwritten back to the default. By creating the template pages, does this prevent them from getting overwritten during an update??

Luckycharm1978 I think that depends on the theme you are using, some themes I think organize and show the information with a different layout. Btw with theme are you using? Looks better then mine

I ve got the same problem too to customize player_details.php page.

BAD-RELIGION The theme that I’m using is called Spacious. The theme has options to change the display by just adjusting the number of columns and header look. As for how the player profile is pulled and displayed on the page, that all relies on the plugin. I just cant figure out how copying the page.php file and how to make changes to it to customize your page look.

I am using SportsPress on my site and loving it so far.

Yup. Free. I’m pushing the league owner to go Pro (for the tournament brackets). We’ll see.
The divisions are actually 3 seperate competitions within the same season.
