    Hi guys,

Been using Advanced Post List flawlessly for year to organise all the bands I have shot and list them on this page alphabetically: https://www.bjwok.com/list-of-bands/

Up until the update to the plugin each alphabetical section would only show the posts tagged with the appropriate code (alphaA, alphaB, alphaC etc etc) but now each section shows ALL posts alphabetically.

Have tried with no success to work out the issue, can anyone here help me out?

    cheers!

    Benon

…and the error prevents any saving or returning of values. (i.e., it stops the preset from running)

You dont need to select “Require Terms Selected”

Ok cool, I unselected that but it still returns all results (updated for “A” https://www.bjwok.com/list-of-bands/ )

    Everything should work as follows.

    • Categories
    • (UNCHECK) Any/All
    • Tags
    • (UNCHECK) Require Terms selected.
    • (UNCHECK) Include Terms from Current Post/Page.
    • (CHECK) Alpha-A

Thanks very much mate. That has resolved it back to how it was.

You got a paypal I can sling you a few bucks for your help?

Glad to hear that got everything back to working order, and the page design looks pretty good.

Your design also reminds me of a feature I would like to add. Double Sorting, which is essentially Grouping, but would also allow sorting by both date and title. It’s something I have added to a list, but it’s currently undetermined when it would be released.

If you would like to contribute in some way, you can rate this plugin as well. Ideally, APL is designed to create multiple instances in the most customizable way that’s fully functional with WP’s core query object. Fundamentally it’s a frontend tool that creates more freedom with themes and site designs.

If you do feel it saved you hours of your time, and still determined on donating. At the bottom of the APL Settings Page, there should be a Donation link to PayPal.
