List tags as checkboxes so a user can search multiple tags

  • Is there a plugin, or does WP inherently have the ability to list all tags, or tags of my choosing, with a checkbox to the sidebar? The purpose would be so that a user can choose all the tags they want to search for posts on the blog and click “search” button.

    For example:

    Say my blog has 6 tags. big, small, red, blue, used, new

    I want to allow my users to search all my posts that are tagged with big, red, used – then click the “search” button. This would create the url https://websitedotcom/tag/big+red+used and would list all posts with all 3 tags.

    Is this possible without a plugin? Or is it possible to create a plugin to do this? Hope I’ve been clear. Thanks for the help!

  • Yes, there’s a plugin called “Faceted search” , but if you are using many languages it will show a list with all the translations… so it works fine, but only for WP with 1 language ??
