list taxonomies doesn’t get the current_cat class

In the codex documentation on wp_list_categories it is now explained how to display taxonomy terms instead of categories and this works fine.

However, what does not work is when a taxonomy in that list gets selected, it does not get the class of current_page_item or current-cat.

Any ideas on getting that to work?
