The mail tester at aboutmy.email says that the Newsletter list-unsubscribe header is outdated. “List-Unsubscribe header has been MIME encoded. This may work at some mailbox providers but is not valid.”

This is the error message I’m getting from the aboutmy.email mail deliverability testing site. What do the devs think of this? Seems like not MIME-encoding a header would be pretty easy.

    Hello,

this is rather weird. May I ask which sending method are you currently using? Do you use an external service provider? Also, please add [email protected] as test subscriber to your website and send a test newsletter to that address, so we can take a closer look.

    Hi Michael!
It’s going thru Amazon SES via the YaySMTP plugin.
Sure, added and sent as of 330p CST aka queued and sending, with eta 10 mins from now.
    Thanks for investigating ??

    Hello,

sorry, could you please tell me the subject of the test email you’ve sent?

    Hello,

we checked again that error and we have some doubts when it says that the header “is not valid”: our headers are rewritten by the sending provider. We also use Amazon SES to send our newsletters and the headers are rewritten by SES when they go through their servers. We have no control over this. Please try another test using mail-tester, which is an industry standard testing engine.
