List view column squished

    Hi,

    I installed Events Calendar on a client’s website, and everything looks alright except the list view is very squished, like the column is super narrow when I first navigate to the page. If I click away and back, it’s fine. I’m having the same issue on Calendar view as well. Any ideas on why this happening or how to correct it? I haven’t added any custom CSS to the calendar or list view either.

    Hi @torrielynn,

    Thanks for contacting our team!

    I was able to check your page and found that this class is getting added to each event block by your theme, causing it to narrow: post-align-center post-vertical-align-middle col-lg-4 col-md-4

    You can start by looking for any performance related settings on your theme to see if you can disable CSS minification/optimization.

    You could also follow this guide on how to properly set up caching with The Events Calendar.

    If neither of that worked, kindly proceed to conflict testing to identify other possible causes.

    Hi Jean,


    Thanks for getting back to me. We are running WP Rocket for caching and have set it up according to the guides you sent. We are running the Botiga theme and it looks like it automatically minifies CSS, but I’m not able to disable that by any easy means. The theme seems to be the source of the issue, which I had suspected when this issue popped up.

    Do you know how or if I could workaround the theme conflict to disable the css minification?

    When I initially navigate to the page, the content is squished, but if I select the Month View in the calendar and back again, it resolves itself. Not sure why it would do that.

    Just updated so this thread can be closed.

    The issue was with the Botiga theme we are using and I was able to get a fix via CSS from the theme developers.
