• I am using the Explicit Category Sort plugin to list Parent/Child categories the way I want. If I set it up using the parent/child structuring in the Manage>Categories section, then my post from the child category also is displayed in the Parent category. I don’t want that. But I do want to show the Parent/Child relationship on the Write page when selecting the category to post to. Does any one have any suggestions as to how to accomplish this?

    Thanks for your help.

  • AFAIK the posts of a child category are always listed when the parent category’s archive is viewed.

    Thank you for the response.
    I understand.
But what I really want to do is be able to manipulate the listings of the categories on the Write Page-make them look like a hirerachy structure without making them so.

Well, in my Write panel (without any plugin) the categories are listed in a hierarchical structure.

The only way they become listed in that manner is if you create that relationship in the Manage>Category section. I don’t want to do that. But I want to make it look that way. Is there a way to hack the code or use css so it displays that way?

Anyone have any suggestions? Would I have to write a plugin?
