    Hi there,

I have a problem that I need some help with. I recently changed a Product image in WP Commerce, and needed to reflect this change in my eBay listing. When I revised the item using WP-lister, it showed both the new and old product image on eBay. I tried ending the listing, then deleting the wp-listing (Archive, then Delete) then re-preparing it. Now when I try to verify the listing, I get:

    Error: Duplicate UUID used. (#488)
The specified UUID has already been used; ListedByRequestAppId=1, item ID=XXXX.

Obviously, XXXX is the item ID. If I preview this new listing, it’s still showing both images, in spite of WP Commerce only showing one.

    Please help!

Hmm. I worked around the listing problem by retrieving the ebay ID from My Ebay, then adding it to the item manually in the wp_ebay_auctions table. Then I could do ‘update item details from eBay’ which bought the item back into sync with eBay. I still couldn’t relist it, so I manually relisted it via eBay and did another ‘update item details from eBay’. I *think* it’s OK now.

The item still shows two product images in a preview or on eBay, so if you can help with this part of the post it’d be appreciated.

    Hi Jason,

the UUID error is actually just a precaution measure to prevent duplicate listings (caused by weird user behaviour, not by a bug in WP-Lister).

All you needed to do was to wait for one hour (max.) and you would have been able to perform the same action again. The next update will contain an explaination as to why this error shows up and what to do about it (wait).

Your workaround – or I should rather call it a “hack” ?? – is fine. I do that kind of thing myself sometimes… and that’s exactly what the “update details from ebay” can be used for. But this should never be required – still, it works.

Regarding your duplicate image issue, I’d recommend you contact me via email at support at wplab dot com and send login details to your site. I can’t say anything about this without being able to see all details, your product, the template, etc.

    kind regards,

    Matt
