Listing not searchable when image added to field

    First off, your plugin is great. Thank you!

    Running into some issues on a site. It’s for a searchable members directory. It works fine, BUT not when an image is inside of a field. This client wants some “premium” listings where a business can have their logo display. I have the table set into 3 columns: business, contact info and categories. The logos would be added to the business name column. Search by business doesn’t work with the logo in the field below the business name. Just says “No matching records found.” How can I fix this?

    Also, the search field doesn’t seem to do anything when I type into it.

    The one member listing with a logo (at the moment) is Rensselaer Republican.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    I can’t really reproduce this. I can e.g. choose “Rensselaer Republican” in the drop down or type that into the regular Search field and in both cases, the corresponding row is shown (as the only one) in the table.
    Am I missing something?

    Thanks for getting back to me. I had to completely remove the logo from the Business Name field and create a new column to exclusively house the logos. Having the logo within the same field as the business name broke its searchability. Hope that makes sense.

    Hi,

    ah, ok, that explains it.
    My assumption is that, with the logo in the first column, the DataTables JS library would sort and search that as column as HTML code, which lead to those weird results.
