Listing the Total Post Count

    I’m using WordPress 3 Multi Site and want to display a post count for a specific user (or all users combined) for a specific site within the each site’s footer. For Example, site one (number of posts), site two (number of posts)…

    I know there is a wp_count_posts() function but I’m not sure how to use it for the purpose outlined above. I’ve had a look at the codex page for it but every time I try to use it it displays nothing. In any case, the codex doesn’t explain how to list posts per individual blog on the network.
