Listing WordPress Categories with Description

  • I want to list the WordPress Categories but in a better formatted way on my homepage like this:

    <div>
    Category Title
    Category description goes here
    </div>

    <div>
    Category Title
    Category description goes here
    </div>

    I guess I want to list the categories almost like you’d list WordPress posts (i’m also eventually going to want to add in Category images if that’s possible.)

    Any ideas or plugins that can help you do that?
