I need my newsletter sign up people to be segmented when they come into Mailchimp. The tags are not working. I’ve set the plugin to add a tag, “Presence Newsletter” when they sign up. It does not work.

What is the best way to segment my list? Should I create a new audience? I’ve created a newsletter signup “Group” in Mailchimp, but can see no way to add them to this group in your plugin.

I could create a new audience, but that seems like the wrong solution.

    Please advise.

    Hey @mobremski,

How do you want to segment the users? You just have a single form, correct? Do you want to offer some checkboxes that the user can select?

I don’t want to offer checkboxes, it’s ugly and cumbersome.

What I did was actually create a new audience, although I don’t think that is the optimal solution. I’d like to be able to add them to one of my tags, but Mailchimp barely supports that!

I’m guessing adding them to a new audience is the best solution.

Compared to Active Campaign, Mailchimp is severely behind the times.

    Hey @mobremski,

Segmenting usually means having some data related to the user so when you create campaigns you can create dynamic lists based on users in a particular segment.

My question to you was how do you want to segment? If you just have 1 form and you do not give option to the user to select/add some unique data it would be hard to segment.

If you are using multiple forms, then you can use tags. Please note only the premium version of our plugin supports multiple forms.
