Lists not indenting

Hello! I love the theme, but I’ve found that bulleted lists are not indenting as expected in lists. They all remain on the same indention level. For example, I expect this:

• Item 1
  • Sub item 1

But I am only able to do this (even after indenting the sub item)

• Item 1
• Sub item 1

I use a bulleted list for my table of contents so it’s confusing when the sub-bullets aren’t indented as expected.
