• Neither ordered nor unordered list items are being indented, when they should be sub-items beneath a main list item.

In other words, when I take a number of text lines, select them and click on the bullets or numbers list buttons, then indent the sub-items with the indent button, ther is no change to the sub-items in the visual editor view, when published online or in HTML view.

I’m trying a work-around by removing the list tags for the sub-items and then adding a span tag with an indent of “x”px. But that makes for messy vertical spacing and a span doesn’t work correctly after a line break in this editor either.

In general, I find the WordPress built-in editor to be pretty disgusting and weak, although it soes seem to get a bit better with each version.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks all!

  • how the lists are styled depends on your theme’s stylesheet.

without knowing your theme, or without a link to your site, there is not much more to comment on this issue.

Thanks for that Alchymth. The theme is “Mocha”, a child theme of the StudioPress commercial “Genesis Framework”.

I’ll check out typical style sheet list codes in some of my Dreamweaver edited websites and compare that to the CSS in my theme. That should do the trick.

    Cheers!
