• This plugin is mentioned on some sites as one of the best on the market. So I tried… And I was disappointed.

Everything is certainly well designed at first glance and there’s a lot of settings possibilities.
But the Lite version is extremely limited. Impossible to insert a simple address or telephone field without having to pay. For such classic fields!

I’m not saying don’t try it. But have your wallet handy if you want to create a proper form.

    Hi @1note4u,

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback.

While WPForms Lite is positioned below our Basic level paid license, we still wanted it to be as useful as possible, so while fields such as the Address field and phone field that are available in the paid versions of WPForms are not available in WPForms Lite, there are still ways to collect this type of information, and I’ll share a few ways to do this based on your review:

Address Field – You can create a custom address field in the form using Single Line Text fields and a Dropdown field.

You may add options to a Dropdown field using our?Bulk Add?option in the form builder. To do this, click on the Dropdown field and in the left Field Option panel, click on?Bulk Add. In the new section that appears, select?Show Presets. You can then select from our list of preset choices. We have a detailed tutorial on that here: https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-bulk-add-choices-for-multiple-choice-checkbox-and-dropdown-fields/

For the Zip Code subfield you can use the Numbers field, or require that users can only add numbers to a Single Line Text field using the input mask method. We have more details in our tutorial here: https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-use-custom-input-masks/

If you’d like to, you can also format your form to have multiple columns. We have a great tutorial on how to do that here: https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-create-multi-column-form-layouts-in-wpforms/.

Phone field – This can be done in the same way that Zip Codes are done. You can use a Single Line Text field with a custom input mask that’s set to collect a phone number.

The Lite version of WPForms is definitely limited compared to the paid versions, however, we still wanted to ensure that it could still be a usable product, and it most definitely is, however, we’ll most definitely look into your feedback and assess the product to see where we could add more value to WPForms Lite.

Once more, I must say thank you for taking the time to give your feedback on WPForms Lite, and if you have any other questions or follow-ups be sure to let us know!

Thanks, and have a great one.

    Hi @iamtajayq

Thank you for taking the time to go into so much detail in your reply. I appreciate.

That said, since my comment, I’ve been using another plugin, also in Lite version. And I must say that its options are more numerous, even in the Lite version. I’ve been able to create several forms and adjust them quickly without having to grumble too much so far :). So I’m happy with what I’ve got to test at the moment.

However, I wouldn’t rule out returning to WPForms in the future.

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Hi @1note4u,

    It has been a pleasure!

While we would’ve preferred to have you use WPFroms, it’s completely understandable if you find an option that suits you better, and we’re happy you have!

We’ll definitely be going back to the drawing board here to see what we could do to make WPForms Lite better, and if you have any other bits of information that you could share that we could benefit from, please always feel free to let us know, we truly appreciate the feedback!

    Thanks, and all the best!
