Lite version of EasySlider is slow to load

Does anyone know of a way to speed it up? I have it in a widget at the top of the page. WHen it loads it looks awesome, but each time the page is refreshed or I leave it and come back to it, the slider does not immediately load. The main problem with that is the fact that it takes up about 150 px of height at top of the page but the space it occupies is not there immediately – so the page contents then drop down once the slider loads. It’s distracting and not a welcome site for a home page.
If anyone knows of a way to make the slider pre-load, please let me know. Otherwise, I will need to find a different plugin.
