Literally stopped working all of a sudden

  • I used to love ACF but it literally just stopped working and jumbled up all my groups and fields. What a catastrophic failure that has cost me everything. WordPress and all these functional plugins are now just a sad pile of steaming garbage. I can make my own system for less time and headaches than trying to use these crappy systems that try to be everything to everybody.

    UPDATE: FEB 25 – literally nothing works still. I went to update an options page and while the admin UI changes, the database does not. What a joke of a garbage plugin this has become. SHUT IT DOWN and let someone else make it what it used to be – WPE is garbage all around.

  • agree 100%! All of this “fixing and improving” what is working has me looking for a different line of work. Totally frustrating how bloated and complicated developers are making what was once simple and straightforward. I will be making my own customizations in the future.

    I’m sorry to hear of your troubles too. It seems like the new company has overlooked what ACF was originally all about and cannot do even the simple things any more like reference a field by its “field_” label. I have a 6 month project completely ruined with some weird new bug that will require an entire rebuild from scratch. I miss the old ACF. I wish you the best of luck and am jealous you can get away from all this WordPress mess.
