I have 27 radio station websites and another 30 other small business websites that all use Litespeed Cache, on all of these I have auto-update turned off.. however, this afternoon, an auto-update was forced against my will to all of them, nearly simultaneously, causing myself and everyone that needs to use them inability to access the admin dashboard. It seems that deactivating and reactivating them fixes the issue, but I need to know what I can do to prevent this from ever happening again. I have auto-update off for a reason.

Not only that, but the email notifications I received came to my personal work email and not the admin email that they are set up to go to. These were the first and only wordpress email notifications I’ve received at mine since I switched this over.

Was this a forced update or something? Seems wrong.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Same here, update just killed my website and I can’t even access it either front or back ends.

The 6.5 update did kill my website too. I have a white screen of death on every page, even wp-admin. I renamed the litespeed plugin folder as a temporary fix.

@lblblblb same here. I restored backups but for some sites I had to rename the plugin folder. Waiting for the patch.

Same here. Thanks for confirming I’m not alone with this surprise.

Got the error. Restored by going into the control panel (or FTP) and delete the plugin from the wp-content/plugins/ folder – if that helps anyone..

Error 500 in my website with the new update.

And I cant remove Litespeed cache. is giving error to remove on Cpanel.

Can you rename the plugin folder @hareon

You can download 6.4 version from here under Advanced : https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/litespeed-cache/advanced/

And load the zip file by ftp, unzip it to replace the current folder in the plugin folder so you restore previous version.

    Hope it helps

Thanks @louischan that is helpful ??

They just released 6.4.1 to fix this issue

Yes I can rename in cpanel, but the plugin doesnt disable. Renaming to litespeed-cache-disabled I can acess the website, but I cant delete the plugin. It still active and when I try to disable in wp-admin, give an error.

I will try to download 6.4 and unzip on my plugin folder.

OK! Thank you! Unzipping 6.4 and updating to 6.4.1 fixed the problem!

    Thanks for the support guys!

    Plugin Support Hai Zheng?

    (@hailite)

The issue was caused by object cache connection failure. The hotfix is just released:

    = 6.5.0.1 - Sep 4 2024 =
    * ??**Debug** Fixed a corner case fatal error when Object Cache is ON but failed to connect, and
wp-content/litespeed directory is not writtable, and debug option is ON.

Please let us know if you have any further issue or not w/ this latest version. Thanks for your reports again.

6.5.0.1 is now out.. this version is ok for us.

Wonderful. 6.5.0.1 works. Thanks Litespeed support!
