With yesterday’s update to WordPress 5.6, Bulletproof Security on every single one of my sites now requires me to log in, unlock the htaccess file, go to the LiteSpeed Cache Plugin settings, save the settings, return to BPS Setup Wizard, and run the BPS Setup, again.

It works on some sites; it doesn’t work at all on other sites.

I run over 100 sites. This will take me days to sort out. Is there no simpler solution? Why was this not an issue before yesterday?

    Thanks for any insight.

The HUD AutoFix checking code for caching plugins is now more extensive to check for every possible scenario that may need to be fixed by Setup Wizard AutoFix. If you are not using Browser caching options in LiteSpeed Cache or your server type does not allow htaccess code (you can only use Option #1 for this scenario) then you can do either one of these 2 options below.

    Option #1:
    1. Go to the Setup Wizard Options page.
    2. Change this option setting > AutoFix (AutoWhitelist|AutoSetup|AutoCleanup) > to AutoFix Off.

    Option #2:
    1. Copy these placeholders below for LiteSpeed Cache:
Note: “END NON_LSCACHE” is correct and not a typo/mistake.
    # BEGIN LSCACHE
    # END NON_LSCACHE

    2. Go to BPS Pro > B-Core > Custom Code > click the Root htaccess File Custom Code accordion tab/button.
    3. Paste the placeholders above for LiteSpeed Cache in this Custom Code text box: 1. CUSTOM CODE TOP PHP/PHP.INI HANDLER/CACHE CODE
    4. Click the Save Root Custom Code button.
    5. Go to the Security Modes page and click the Root Folder BulletProof Mode Activate button.
