Little help required – number of queries

  • Hi i could with a little help or advice if anyone has come across this before.

    I’m using wordpress for my site and i have a lot of static pages and links, i’ve recently noticed a problem with the site running slow on occaisions.

    When looking at the source code for the home page sometimes it says it ran 14 or 15 queries which i think is fine ? However on other occaisions it says it has ran over 3000 queries for the exact same page with no changes being made to it ?

    Has anyone ever experienced this, i have tried disabling plugins to see if they have any effect but no real luck with that.

    Any help or advice is appreciated
