Live Chat Plugin

  • Hey everyone,
    I was wondering if anyone can recommend a free Live Chat plugin for wordpress which also supports push notifications via Mobile? I have found a few good plugins but they can only be used and managed while logged in via the admin panel. The plugins with the live chat seem to be paid. Maybe I missed one, any recommendations?

  • I use a chat script called Crafty Syntax. It is a script, not a plugin. I must say it is a pretty powerful script. For instance you could set up different departments of chat support. The chat alerts can received by mobile devices. No download of app needed to receive chat alerts on mobile. You would create and manage separate logins for your support team. The chat department logs into the chat script, example http:mysite/crafty_syntax_chat. I find this to be a cool chat tool to have because you could hire support all over the country and they could work from their phones. Although you may not get quality support. The script also allows you to view the city and state of the chat visitor, plus many more functions. The cons about this nice script is that the chat window is old style compared to modern chat windows. But this can be customized to look modern.

    Check out Tawk.to. I use it and it’s worked well so far.
