Live Forum Views

  • Can this plugin be used to track the live hit counts for a particular form? Or is it only logged after a user has visited the forum and left or what way does it work please?

    As long as you don’t use a cache plugin it should be live. When the page is loaded it increases the count by one and shows you the value. This will happen when you refresh the page the too, which is not ideal.

    If you use a cache plugin then it will show the same value until the cache refreshes, probably periodically and when someone posts.

    So could I theoretically use this plugin along with a cache plugin to achieve what I’m trying to achieve? Which is displaying the number of users viewing a particular forum? If I set the cache plugin to every hour or something would that work? And does this only track topic views or is it forum views aswell? If so, how do I change it to forum views?
