• Hej Shipmondo

I wonder why you do not provide real time shipping rates back to the WooCommerce checkout experience. That would save everyone the hassle of manual shipping classes.

I wonder why shopowners need to check in on your site at all, when everything should be managed within woo / your plugin. Purchase label, receive label for print with print button. Provide T&T to store, provide T&T to customer through store notification and store logo.

also multivendor support is wished for. Product ships from by setting:

    Product location

    Vendor location

Real time rates are provided for all vendors.

Multi vendor single checkout support. By setting

Sum up all shipping into one price for the customer but split charge and management for vendor 1,2,3 etc

Keep prices separate so that customer can choose carrier 1 for vendor 3 and local pick up for vendor 15

    point is single checkout.

Not providing real time shipping is impossible to manage for the store owner. Hence, shipmondo lose a lot of customers right here.

I will be happy to pilot test the above if such a project is launched…

    Dear @hebhansen,

Thank you for your inquiry and for sharing your thoughts, we really appreciate it. ????

We understand that some solutions offer real-time shipping rates, but we’ve chosen a different approach for several reasons, mainly to ensure the reliability and stability of our system. Here’s why we don’t automate this process:

    • Carrier surcharges: Carriers sometimes add surcharges that aren’t transferred via the API, which means we can’t fully trust the rates we receive.
    • Weight discrepancies: Shipping costs depend on either physical or volumetric weight, and there can be significant differences between the two. Volumetric weight is determined by packaging, and it’s impossible to predict how much space an order will take before it’s packed.
    • Flexible pricing: Many of our customers prefer to set their own shipping prices for more flexibility, rather than showing direct carrier rates.
    • Service stability: If a carrier’s service goes down, it could affect our customers’ checkout experience, potentially impacting conversions.

Shipmondo is designed to be more than just a simple label printing tool – it’s a comprehensive order and freight management system. This allows for more robust functionality than what could be packed into a simple WooCommerce plugin, which is why order management happens through our platform.

Regarding multi-vendor support, I’d be happy to discuss this further. Please feel free to reach out by sending an email to [email protected]. We truly value feedback from our users and always welcome a dialogue on how we can improve our service.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,?

    Jelena from Shipmondo
