I have noticed that Live traffic turns off when Falcon is on. Even if “Enable Live Traffic View” is enabled in the options.

Is there a way to turn Live traffic back on, even if Falcon is on?

I really liked the Live traffic view, and it helped me to identify bad bots.

I realize that Live traffic slows things down a bit, but I have no problem with that.

  • If the Falcon caching is enabled, then the Live Traffic is disabled by default (regardless of whether it is enabled in the options), as it impacts on the caching performance. You can drop down to php caching and the Live Traffic should work.

Correct. We do this as a performance enhancement. There’s no point in using Falcon if you’re going to be writing live traffic to your database.

Thanks for your answers. Mark, I understand why you made it like this, but it is a pity I can’t see the “Pages not found” section when I use Falcon caching.

I guess there is no impact on performance when 404’s are logged? So why is that gone when Falcon is on? I really like to be able to see 404’s. Or is there something I don’t see?
