Live Traffic not working v6.1.3

Brian – I sent the diagnostics…. note that now it WP 4.4.2 with WF 6.1.3 in this case, cos I reverted back after the failure happened with 4.5

Mine is working now. I deactivated my plug ins and then re activated them and the one that was causing mine not to work was the following:

GMO Font Agent
Activate | Edit | Delete

I went back through and deactivated all of my plugins except for Wordfence and found the problem to be caused by the Code Snippets plugin. Live Traffic and Advanced Blocking started working again after I deactivated it. Both are showing recorded activity for the period when they failed to display, so it looks like they were actually working, it’s only that the data wasn’t displaying before the Code Snippets plugin was deactivated.

I don’t have either of those plug-ins on my test site…

@bluebearmedia, try disabling any plugins that haven’t been updated since the WordPress 4.5 release.

I also don’t have all those plugins.

But it’s good to know that the Wordfence activity continues, though without displaying it.

I noticed, by the way, that on top of ‘Wordfence Life Activity’ is mentioned:
“Scan terminated with error: There was an error connecting to the the Wordfence scanning servers: Failed to connect to noc1.wordfence.com port 443: Connection time… (more I couldn’t read and copy on this line)”

Can this give a clue what is conflicting WP 4.5 and Wordfence 6.1.3?

@magdigit, there is an option in Wordfence to disable SSL if you’re having trouble connecting to Wordfence servers.

I’m unknown with all these things like SSS (?).

I just wanted to provide the WFplugin developers all the information to find that big flaw by which Life Traffic is blanc, no rolldown menu, no data display, just as is the case with @bluebearmedia and @paisleygirl.

I even don’t know how to downgrade my WordPress 4.5 as @bluebearmedia did – I am so sorry.

But all these days without the normal protection of WF, that scares me….

I don’t have any of the plugins individuals mentioned above which caused their problem. I have the most updated version of wordpress and your plugin. The issue of not getting anything on the live activity feed started with the update last week of this plugin. Any other suggestions on how to solve the problem?? Not being able to block attackers in real time significantly nullifies the usefulness of the plugin. Please advise . Thank you!

jQuery was updated in WordPress 4.5. It looks like the sites that are having issues with Live Traffic have a plugin other than Wordfence that is not compatible with the new version of WordPress 4.5. Make sure all of your plugins are 4.5 compatible.

Live Traffic and all of the protection of Wordfence are still working even if a plugin conflict interferes with the display of Live Traffic. Bottom line…your site is still protected if this issue affects you.

The current workarounds are:
-Roll back to an earlier version of WordPress
-Disable any non-4.5 compatible plugins

Hope that helps clear up the issue.

I followed your advise and deactivated all plugins, and then activated them one by one, and each time WF worked as magically as you promised!

But this plugin was the killer: VainCode Animate Scroll To Top.

So I have to find a new one for that.
I hope the others also found their killer-plugins.

The new Firewall and interface of WF is AWESOME!!

I’m going to mark this post as resolved since we’ve determined the issue is due to compatibility issues with other plug-ins on WordPress 4.5. If anyone is still having an issue, please start a new thread so we can troubleshoot those cases separately.

I had the same problem so I followed the advice here. I disabled my plugins and it turns out the conflict for me was “Page Expiration Robot” so I will have to find another page expiration tool
