Here, you work directly on the front-end of your site, and what you see is exactly how the site will look. Any changes you make will change the appearance of the site, but they will not be shown to visitors until you hit Publish.

The difference with the customizer is that every action you perform saves your work as a working draft, so you can leave the page and it will be the same when you come back.
