Live Writer not recognising wpblog

  • Today my Live Writer decided not to recognise my blog anymore and even though I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled at least 3 times I still can’t get it to accept the updated password for my blog.

    Can anyone advise on how to proceed I’d be very grateful?

    This is what I keep getting

    Invalid Server Response – The response to the blogger. getUsersBlogs method received from the blog was invalid

    Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc server

    Navigate to https://www.boolanddesigns.com/xmlrpc.php

    When loaded in your browser there should be 1 unformated line of text that reads:

    XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

    Not sure why, but to fix, try a Manual Update to replace core files (wp-admin, wp-includes, and all files from download package in root except wp-config.php – note do not edit or change the folder wp-contents- it contains your configured theme and plugins. We are addressing a core WP manual update (at this point) to ensure that these files are proper. xmlrpc.php is a core wp file.

    If that does not work, then we must look at plugins/theme as the issue.
