• I am using Google Photos and most of my albums have 10+ images. I would like to only display 5 images on the page in a square, mosaic or masonry layout. However, when I limit the layout to 5 images, the lightbox (Lightgallery) only displays those 5 images. How can I get the lightbox to display all of the images in the album?

This can’t be done. If you are displaying a group of photos on a page, every photo you need in the lightbox first needs to be loaded on the page.

If you wish, you can show 5 photos and add a “More” button, but that button will first need to be clicked to load the other images on your page. Only then will they appear in the lightbox.

Thank you for your quick response. I saw in the documentation that the lightboxes in the plugin can be used outside of the gallery. So, if I wanted to click a button or a stand alone image and have it open a Google album in a Photonic lightbox, is that possible?

Photonic’s lightbox can be used for non-Photonic galleries. Essentially your non-Photonic gallery will need to be created first on your page, before you can invoke the Photonic lightbox. So, what you’re asking is not possible, for the simple reason that there isn’t any Google Photos plugin apart from Photonic.

But, what you are asking for can be achieved pretty easily with Photonic itself. Try Example 1 from the documentation. The catch is that if your gallery has more than 100 photos, it will get capped off at 100.
