    Hello!

I need to disable Google Fonts from loading dynamically. Can you help me?
I tried to switch off your plugin and saw that it apparently uses the Roboto font and loads it dynamically from Google. In order to be GDPR-compliant I need to make sure that my website only loads locally hosted fonts.

I really hope you can help me!

P.s: I have the pro add-on of the plugin.

    Best,
    Bianca

    Hi Bianca (@francescamay),

Thank you for getting in touch, we do appreciate your time.

Unfortunately, the Google Font is not being loaded directly by our plugin, but instead is part of the Google Maps API. This allows Google to control the style of components, and at this stage is not optional.

There are ways to get around this, but they require additional scripting to block the remote fonts before they load, which then allows you to load locally hosted files instead.

As a simpler alternative, you may prefer to use our OpenLayers engine as this does not include any remote fonts.

Please note: These forums are reserved for the support of the basic version of the plugin. Under www.ads-software.com guidelines, we are not allowed to offer any premium support via these threads. As such I will need to ask you to open a support ticket on our website for further assistance (Due to the mention of the Pro add-on in your first message). Although your issue is related to the basic plugin, we must close this thread due to the Pro add-on being mentioned. I do apologize for this.

This thread will be closed and marked as resolved, due to the mention of the Pro add-on, please reach out to us directly on our website and we will gladly assist further!
