NOTE: Following the ticket number #2026414

    In short:

    – It is much slower to load pages with version 1.7.5.1.

    – With version 1.7.4.2 pages load instantly.

    – With version 1.7.5.1 the pages are blank for some time when loading.
Without cache this behavior is even more noticeable. Some pages don’t even load.

    – The behavior is identical in any browser.

    – Nothing in the MySQL logs.

    – I had to revert to version 1.7.4.2 to get everything back to normal.

    Thank you for analysis.

  • Hey @webpart,

Thanks for contacting us and I apologize for the delay in getting back to your support request.

At this moment, we, unfortunately, haven’t received any widespread reports on performance issues in our most recent release. Having said that, I would need your help to help us troubleshoot. When you have some time, can you please perform the troubleshooting checklist to see when the performance is normal?

I would also suggest you enable debugging and check the debug.log file for any possible errors. I also noticed that you have code snippets installed which makes me also wonder if you are using some custom code which could also be affecting the speed in case some snippets are causing conflicts? I would also suggest you temporarily deactivate the snippets to see if that improves the performance.

Further, I also noticed that you’re using IIS server and we’ve seen it’s a little more difficult to optimize when it comes to performance. Apache or Nginx would be the optimal web server choices. I would also suggest you install query monitor and see what calls are taking up the most time.

Please let me know how it goes!

    Kindly,

First of all, with version 1.7.4.2 the pages load instantly, as you can see on the website.
It is therefore not a problem with the server, but with version 1.7.5.1.

Seeking if there is any conflict of version 1.7.5.1 with any plugin installed, I disabled plugin by plugin and found that if I disable the Elementor plugin the problem disappears.

    Thank you for analysis.

    Hey @webpart,

Thanks for your findings, and for sharing them with us. In this case, I would suggest you check with the Elementor support team to see if they can give any assistance.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to reachout.

    Kindly,

The Elementor Plugin is not causing the problem.
The problem is in version 1.7.5.1 of WPforms Lite, as reverting to version 1.7.4.2 everything is fine again.

I look forward to your quick analysis and conclusions.
If nothing concrete is told me quickly, we will have to abandon WPForms, with great regret, and advise the same to all our customers and partners.

I tested with version 1.7.5.2 and the problem remains.
Had to revert back to version 1.7.4.2 again.

    I’m waiting for news urgently.

Hey @webpart – We’ve shared this with our developers and they’re looking into this. I apologize, at this moment, we don’t have an ETA, but you can keep an eye on the changelog page for development-related news.
