My host Big Scoots reached out to me today to let me know that they found a load spike on my server due to an infinite loop trying to access non-existing files under the plugin “wp-external-links”, so they disabled it for now. They suggested I share this info with WP External Links support team.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

We haven’t had any reports of that so far ??

Did they give you any details about what files it was trying to access?

These are the files they included:

    access(“/home/nginx/domains/createmindfully.com/public/wp-content/plugins/wp-external -links/includes/admin/network-fields/class-ewwwio-gd-editor.php”, F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)

    lstat(“/home/nginx/domains/createmindfully.com/public/wp-content/plugins/wp-external- links/includes/admin/settings-fields/class-ewwwio-gd-editor.php”, 0x7ffe3d9b4720) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)

Those files don’t exist in the plugin. I have no idea what they are. WP External Links doesn’t use them so maybe it some issue with the autoloader in another plugin, I really don’t know as I haven’t seen this come up before ??
