    Hey there!
I want to add light box to images in such a way that when normally site loads, only the low res versions (some KBs in size) image are show but when a user clicks on the image, only then users are presented with a high res image which could be in MBs in size.

Is this possible? Can you please help me in this?

    Hello jeeemmyy,

This is not currently possible. What our plugin does is take the image that it is applied to and show that same image in the lightbox. It does not populate the principal image itself on the page.

We’ll note down a feature request to perhaps be able to choose what quality of image gets displayed in the lightbox, which would allow you to achieve the same thing. Should we get more demand for something like this in the future, we can look into the possibility of implementing it.

I’d be interested in that, for sure.

Seems quite logical to me, actually, from a ‘best practice’ perspective.
