Loading incorrectly

    Hello my home page gallery doesn’t load correctly – initially the images will be all over the place, left aligned and way down the page, then after a short time it sorts itself out.

    Anybody got any ideas why this would be? Updates have made no difference.

    Any input greatly appreciated.

    Hi @vroom66,

    Your site seems to load pretty slow and NextGen’s slideshow requires all the images to be loaded priorly it will trigger the slideshow.

    In any case, the fact being that we have completely replaced the old slideshow gallery display type a couple of NextGen versions ago, the first thing that I would try is to edit the page, remove the shortcode from it then add add it again to refresh the shortcode.

    Hi thanks for your suggestion, tried that no difference. The site is slow, I’m trying to speed it up so disabling as many plugins as possible, tried with optimizers on and off, nothing seems to be helping much. Have reduced the size of the images to 800×600, but there aren’t heaps of images in there. Any ideas gratefully received!

    Hi @vroom66,

    Maybe it would be a good idea to contact the hosting support so they could look for some solutions that would improve the loading speed because as I see now the images are loading very slow.

    Because it has been a month or more since your last reply, I am going to mark this as resolved as I assume you have found a solution. Please feel free to reply again if you still have questions.
