Ive installed your app. Im using a custom plugin with a shortcode. When I visit the page it doesn’t refresh with the latest unless I hit SHift+refresh. Not sure how to fix this cause the page is out of date each time at 4:00 GMT (midnight EST).

Do you have any info on how to make this app more WPA compatible?

  • Thanks for using SuperPWA.

As SuperPWA follows network first, If the network is available it serves the live website and saves the most current copy to the cache. As long as the HTML is updated (and other factors such as browser cache is not playing in between), you should see the latest version of the page.

Can you please share your website URL?

I’m having issues reproducing the problem. I can, but I will mail it to you as we are not quite ready to go live with it. (if thats ok).

I personally have experienced it, and so is my customer and his testers.

    Sure, that will be great.

It would be great, if we can test the website to know what’s causing the issue.

I’m having issues with refreshing the version on a consistant basis. Not sure why, but even with CCleaner the browser continues to use old versions

Can you confirm whether any caching be used upon your website either via any plugin or by WP Engine? Currently our plugin follows Network First caching strategy. IE; the latest content will be loaded to user, if the device is connected to an internet connection.

WP-Engine does use a cache. Its an Object cache and page cache. I will check on its timing.

I talked to WPEngine, they do have their own caching plugin. Which I noted above. Its a very nice application.

Now with your app enabled, mobile and my desktop versions will often display a mutated page that is not what the site is suppose to be. It shows the icon and is mostly gray. It does this when Im not using my proxy, and the superPWA app is enabled. At first, I thought it was the DNS but it became clear superPWA was partially to blame after disabling it has cleared the problems. We may need to move to the PWA app that works with WPEngine as this is not usable.

Well it looks like the manifest is having issues… Getting,
Manifest: Line: 1, column: 1, Unexpected token.

    And a 404
