• Updated the plugin as per the WP Dashboard notification, deleted the log file (after having saved it to CSV) and when I try to fire up the plugin all I get is “Loading the bits, please wait…” I’ve tried to reinstall it, but it won’t let me deactivate it. I’ve grown fond the the plugin, but it seems to have developed an unhealthy need to remain on the site. Pesky little bugger. Any help would be appreciated.

What happens when you try and uninstall it?

Can you clear your browser cache?

    Hi John,

I was about to post the same issue.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best regards,
    Florence.

The same here. I have uninstalled, cleared the cache but still getting the “loads the bits…’ message. Site: https://www.canallondres.tv Best, Silvino

Do you have any errors in your browser error console?

    Hi John,

I’m surprised nobody replied to your question :-/

Yes, there are errors in the console: https://i.imgur.com/8rLggza.jpg

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best regards,

Thanks Florence. It looks like both the CSS and JavaScript for Redirection isn’t being loaded. If you click on the Network tab in the developer tools and reload the page you should see a request to redirection.js and admin.css.

The other error in your screenshot (wp-seo-admin?) could also be causing a problem. Can you disable that plugin and try again? If it is the problem can you tell me the name of the plugin so I can try it out.

Similar problems here… No daqshboard, just: “Loading the bits, please wait…”

In my case it’s an incompatibility with this RokAjaxSearch plugin: if I disable it Redirection’s dashboard is working.

I don’t know when the problem has started because I’haven’t touched Redirection’s settings for a long time up to today (trying to add a new redirect).

Today I’ve discovered the problem while in version 2.6.6, then I’ve updated to 2.7, but the problem has persisted even after uninstall/reinstall and clearing the cache.

For the moment the only way to get Redirection’s dashboard is disable the RokAjaxSearch plugin. I hope that there will be a fix.

RokAjaxSearch doesn’t cause a problem for me. As above, can you look in your error console?

Hi, John, I’ve checked my browser console and that’s what I’m getting.Thanks.

    Hello John,

Thanks to you, I found the plugin which is causing this problem, it’s Yoast SEO. Once it’s deactivated, the Redirection settings page are loading fine.

Can the other people participating to this thread confirm the same?

    Best regards,
    Florence.

    (@johnny5)

@radcon, great! I’ll check that out and see if I can reproduce.

@silvinoferreirajr what is wp-seo-admin-global? I’ve seen that in another thread. Is it Yoast SEO by any chance?

Yes, it’s a file from Yoast SEO plugin, John.

In my case, deactivating Yoast SEO and then reactivating it fixed the issue. Maybe because your plugin’s files are now in cache? I’m not sure.

I think so John. At least it’s the only explanation I can find for that.

I’m also getting the same conflict with Yoast SEO.

I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem, but I did see that Yoast includes all it’s JavaScript and CSS files on every admin page and so could potentially cause a problem. I’ve released 2.7.1 with some changes to how Redirection loads so that hopefully it won’t be affected by other plugins.
