Loadsssss of spam on my website/blog

It was dead for 4 months, redoing it now and it has 8000 comments awaiting moderation and all are spam.
I can’t seem to find something where I can reset. I can’t bulk coz it is taking ages to load all that crap.
Is there something I can do to just remove them all? The comments
