    Hello everyone,

First of all, I am a computer rookie, so bare with me a,d please be explicit in any directions. ??

I’ve been at pains to install WordPress, Wamp, a theme etc. etc. etc., and the day before yesterday everything finally seemed to be fine. I thought I had a nice weblog. However, yesterday evening I tried to get to my weblog again through localhost/myweblog etc., same link I used before, and suddenly I get this error:

    HTTP-fout 404.0 – Not Found (‘fout’ = ‘error’)

The last time I was logged in, I did not change the URL and did not mess with permalinks. Also, I cannot reach my weblog, because it is new and it takes a couple of weeks before it is available online (or something like that). Oh yes, and Wamp is just running fine, as far as I can tell (the icon is green).

The only thing that did happen was a browserhijacker (Astromenda), which I successfully removed yesterday, and I don’t see any connection.

Thanks in advance for your time.

PS: I did try to find solutions already, but weren’t able to fix the issue.

Right, I just wanted to check the Wamp program, clicked on the phpMyAdmin, got a new tab on Google Chrome and the same nasty message appears. Therefore, I guess the problem has something to do with Wamp. Perhaps all this is caused by adwCleaner I used to get rid of the browershijacker Astromenda?

Meanwhile, I’ll keep searching for a solution.

I almost figured it out. It turned out to be Wamp. In short, I changed the port numbers in the httpd.conf (< Apache) from 80 to 80, and had to make the same change url or something like that: https://localhost:8080

However, I did manage to get to the dashboard of my weblog, but there everything ends. There is no way of reaching e.g. the actual blogsite. So I am still trying to find a solution.
