Local Install Issues With Images

    I’ve got wordpress running locally on osx 10.5.8 and all works great except “some” image functionality. With the native twenty10 theme I am unable to get image cropping / resizing for “gallery” creation. When you go to a gallery page the images appear tiled but at their full size.

    With other themes that utilize image cropping / featured images .. there are issues as well.

    Do I need to ensure something is enabled with php or apache that may not be?

    Please help asap. Thanks.

    I discovered that my PHP install was missing the GD Library which enables much of WP’s image handling. Once this was installed – all worked well.
